In February, I’ll be heading to the mountains with Jaime Hepburn and Jess Hearn or a weeks residency at Hotel Schwarzschmied in South Tyrol.
Schwarzschmied is a place built around conscious living. Time in nature. Movement as ritual. Rest as something intentional. The days are shaped by the landscape - mountains close, air clear, food rooted in seasonality and care. It’s not about escape, but about returning to what feels essential.
This feels closely aligned with how we move at Basic Space.
Across the residency we’ll be guiding a daily rhythm of yoga, pilates and intuitive movement. Classes are open to all levels, with space for both challenge and pause. The focus isn’t on excess, but on depth. Breath at the centre. Simplicity as grounding. Presence as practice.
Stepping away from the pace of the city and into a slower, more natural cadence feels important. A chance to stretch the days out. To move with attention. To rest properly.
If you’re drawn to mountains, thoughtful design, long exhalations and movement that brings you back to yourself, i’ll be there from 24th February to 3rd March.
